Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

For the past three and a half months, Hayes has gotten little more than a drizzle of water over his body during bath time in order to keep his omphalocele dry and protected.  However, now that it is covered in skin, we finally got the okay to give him a "real bath!"  We started by washing all of his cracks and crevices in his bath tub, then he moved over to mommy's lap to be rinsed off.  He loved sitting in the warm water, and he was intrigued with the waves and splashes of the water around him.  I can already see lots of time at the pool and lake in our future!!

Warning: Pictures have been censored to spare Hayes of future embarrassment during his teenage years.

Scrub...

 ...rinse...

...dry!
