A New Year

This New Year's Eve, I found myself reflecting on all of the joys the past year has brought and celebrating all of my hopes and wishes for the new year.  (I guess that's what happens when you are completely sober during one of the biggest party nights of the year!!)  After spending the past few days consumed by these thoughts, I have decided that I am going to forgo making a resolution this year.  Instead, I am making promises to myself, my husband, and most importantly - to Hayes...

• I promise to continue nurturing my son as he grows and develops inside of me.
• I promise to be his biggest advocate and ensure that he receives the best medical care possible before, during, and after delivery.
• I promise to be the best mom that I can be to this special baby boy!

We know that 2011 is going to be the most challenging year of our lives, but we are filled with so much hope and belief that it will also prove to be the most amazing year too!  As we begin the new year, I wanted to give each of you some insight into our world and the challenges and joys that lay ahead...

What an inspiration this little guy is...and his mom did such a great job journaling his experience too!  Zack also went through the same treatment method that Hayes will more than likely go through - paint and wait.

Max's Blog
Max's mom has become a friend of mine through the O community.  She has been such a wealth of knowledge for me, and she has given me so much encouragement and support over these last few months.  Her little guy is doing so great, and I hope that Hayes will follow in his footsteps!
