Our Little Pumpkin

Fall has been in full swing for over a month now (according to the calendar...NOT the weather!), and Halloween is right around the corner.  Pictures of little ones surrounded by pumpkins are probably lining your news feed and plastering the walls of every website you visit.  So, you are probably shocked that I have yet to post the obligatory pumpkin patch picures...aren't you?  Well, let me explain.  We knew early on that we wanted to make a trip to Dewberry Farms into a yearly fall tradition, but life has just been so crazy and the weather has just been so excrutiatingly hot.  And since Hayes is too young to participate in most of the activities there, we really have been in no hurry.  However, this weekend presented the perfect opportunity to go!  The weather was perfect, we were in a festive mood, and most impotantly - Dewberry Farms was about to close for the season!!  Since we had already spent our morning at the zoo, our afternoon trip to the farm was a fairly quick and simple one.  (Yes, I have lost my marbles planning a trip to the zoo AND a trip to the farm all in the same day!!)  However, we loved getting the chance to drive out to the country and really spend some quality time with one another.  And of course...we loved all of the great photo ops of our little pumpkin too!
