Another five weeks has gone by since Hayes began wearing his helmet, so once again - it was time for a head scan to check the progress! If you need a refresher on all of the great changes from last time, you can check out my previous post here. Otherwise, it is on to the latest news - let's start with the amazing side-by-side pictures...
This report probably still means nothing to you, so let me break it down in the five key points again...
1. Diagram - More great growth...it's almost completely symmetrical now!!
2. Oblique Diagonal
Difference - This report shows that Hayes began with a 13.7 mm difference between the two diagonal measurements seen in the diagram. (His last report showed him starting at 15.5 mm which indicates an even greater difference...not sure why they are different!) Then, at his last head scan he was measuring at an 11.9 mm difference. Now, he is all the way down to 7 mm. If you recall, 6 mm is considered normal. Sooo close!!
3. Anterior Symmetry
Ratio - During his last scan, this is the area that was not progressing as we wanted. Our orthotist made some adjustments, and now he is right on track. Last scan - .859...this scan - .925. Perfectly symmetrical is .100 (and totally unachievable), but we are making moves in the right direction now!
4. Posterior Symmetry
Ratio - Up an amazing .120 from where we started. One word - wow!!!
5. Overall Symmetry Ratio - This is now measuring at .931...I told you it would be above .900 at our next scan! Just another great move towards sweet little head perfection!!
*Side Note - I realize that there are A LOT of exclamation marks in that post. Can you tell I am really excited about my little helmet head???!!!!!!!!!!
