March will be bringing about lots of changes for our little family, so Hayes and I decided to take a whirlwind road trip this week as kind of a last hurrah. We loaded up with all of the necesseties and off we headed to our most favorite place - the Texas Hill Country. This time we visited my brother and sister-in-law and their two sweet boys, and what a great time we had! Our entire trip was filled with lots of yummy food, fun toys, and silly laughs. I loved every minute, but I have to say that the highlight was sitting back and just watching the three boys interact with each other. They are at such fun ages, and I just adored getting the chance to watch them laugh and rough-house together. It was hard to get any posed pictures with a camera shy four year old, super busy two year old, and an almost one year old who likes to watch and take it all in...but I did manage to capture a few candids with my iPhone along the way...

The trip was kicked off with dinner at Cracker Barrel. (...or Crackle Barrel as Rhett likes to call it!) It may have been Hayes's first time there, but he was already playing the table game like a pro!
The next morning we woke up and did some serious playing inside with cars...
...and trains too!
But it was not long before the beautiful day beckoned us out to play...
...and slide...
...and cruise...
...and even climb way up high!
All of that playing gave my sweet boy such a big appetite.
Which is just what he needed before heading out for one last walk outside.
Hayes sure does love his cousins...
and we are already looking forward to our next visit to see them again!!

Lovely that the weather over there is so great! Here is't cold and wet currently. Looks likes Hayes really enjoyed himself. It's so great to see kids interact and have fun. Only a parent knows how you get satisfaction from just watching your child be happy. Great pictures!
So much cuteness!
