His service coordinator and therapist came out to the house last week to reevaluate him, and they were blown away by how much progress he has made in such a short amount of time. Although it is pretty obvious to see just by watching him, they had to make it official and do a pretty lengthy assessment that covers all areas of development. All of the information they collected was put together to give Hayes a report card of sorts...or more like a diploma in his case! Unfortunately, my scanner has been temperamental lately, so I am just going to have type it out for all to see. Check out these scores...
- Adaptive - Hayes is functioning at a 12 month old level, which means he has a 1 month delay. (And this is only because he could not take off his own shoes...which is totally my fault because I never put my little barefoot boy in them! So, let's just say he is right on track.)
- Personal/Social - Hayes is functioning at a 16.5 month old level, which means he is 3.5 months ahead of the game. I know you all are just sooo shocked about that one!
- Communication - Hayes is functioning at a 14 month old level, which is 1 month above where he should be.
- Gross Motor - Hayes is functioning at a 12 month old level, so he is only 1 month behind on this one. This is pretty amazing considering he spent the vast majority of his life with his organs outside of his body and no real core muscle support!
- Fine Motor - Hayes is functioning at a 19 month old level...a whopping 6 months ahead!!
- Cognitive - Hayes is functioning at a 16 month old level, which is 3 months ahead. Such a smarty pants!
