A Glorious Easter

You may remember that last year's Easter went nothing like I had planned...in fact, it was a total and complete flop.  So this year I held very little expectations.  After all - I am hugely pregnant, Hayes is in the midst of the terrible twos, and our little family has had a really hard time getting itself together for even the smallest of tasks these days.  Well, you can imagine my surprise when not only did our Easter start off great...it ended perfectly too.  Here is just a little recap of our day:

We started off the morning checking out Hayes's basket and playing with all of the goodies our dear friend the Easter Bunny had left...

Then, we went to a beautiful church service with an incredible message...

After that, we ate a fabulous meal with some of my sweet family members who live close by.  (Sorry, the camera got left at home for this one.  A bag for church, a bag for lunch, and a bag for me was three too many bags already!)

Oh, and you will never believe this - While we were taking a late afternoon nap on the couch, the Easter Bunny braved the storms that were rolling through and returned to leave eggs and cascarones all throughout our backyard...

What a glorious Easter, indeed!
